An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join an IT Security team as a Security Access Analyst. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) who is keen to take ownership, expand their expertise, and contribute to the secure management of access across systems and applications.
The Security Access Analyst will be responsible for conducting regular audits of access rights to ensure compliance with security protocols and to identify any discrepancies that may present a risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the joiners/movers/leavers process, ensuring timely provisioning, modification, or revocation of access rights
- Assist in enforcing the Principle of Least Privilege through access reviews and adjustments under guidance
- Contribute to periodic access reviews using automated tools or mechanisms within defined operational domains
- Aid in defining Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) roles, permissions, and access levels aligned with business requirements
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance access processes and strengthen controls
Skills and Experience Required
- A Level or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT Support role, with at least 1 year focused on network and/or Cloud IAM and RBAC, demonstrating increasing responsibility
- Experience with identity platforms such as Active Directory or Entra ID (Azure AD) is desirable; familiarity with authentication protocols (e.g. LDAP, SSO, MFA) is advantageous
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess security risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies
- Understanding of access management solutions and identity management protocols
- Good analytical skills for interpreting access data and identifying potential security risks
- Awareness of regulatory requirements related to access controls, including PCI-DSS and GDPR
